Bidding
How do I place a bid?
Click the Bid button on any domain card or detail page. Enter your name, email, and bid amount, then submit the form. You do not need to create an account first.
What is the minimum bid?
The first bid must be at least the listed starting bid. Every bid after that must be at least $10 higher than the current highest bid. The form will show the exact minimum you can enter.
Can I bid below the Claim Now price?
Yes, as long as the auction is still active. Bids must be below the Claim Now price. Once someone pays the Claim Now price, the domain is sold immediately and bidding closes.
How long does an auction run?
Each auction runs for 7 days from the moment the first bid is placed. A countdown timer is shown on the domain card and detail page so you always know how much time is left.
Is my bid binding?
Placing a bid is a serious expression of interest. The winning bidder will receive a secure payment link to complete the purchase. Only bid what you are prepared to pay.
Claim Now
What is Claim Now?
Claim Now lets you buy a domain instantly at the listed Claim Now price instead of waiting for the auction to end. This ends the auction immediately.
What happens after I claim a domain?
You will receive an email confirmation and a secure payment link within 24 hours. Once payment is complete, the domain transfer process begins.
Can someone else claim a domain I am bidding on?
Yes. Any active domain can be claimed at any time until the auction ends. If the domain is claimed, you will receive an email letting you know it is no longer available.
Emails & notifications
Why do I need to confirm my email after bidding?
Confirming your email proves you own the address and helps keep bidding sincere. After you submit a bid, a confirmation link is emailed to you. Your bid becomes active once you click it.
What if I do not receive the confirmation email?
Check your spam or junk folder. You can also return to the bid form and click Resend confirmation email. To prevent spam, resends are limited and include a short cooldown timer.
What emails will I receive?
You will receive a confirmation email when you bid, outbid notices when another bidder tops your offer, and a final email when the domain sells or you win. All activity is also visible on your My Bids page.
How do I look up all my bids?
Visit the My Bids page and enter the email address you used when bidding. A secure link will be emailed to you that shows every domain you have bid on, current status, and latest email activity.
Auction end & purchase
What happens when the auction ends?
When the 7-day timer reaches zero, the highest confirmed bidder wins. The winner and the seller receive an email with next steps and a secure payment link within 24 hours.
How do I pay for a domain I won?
You will receive a secure Afternic purchase link by email. Once payment is confirmed by Afternic, the domain will be transferred to you by Afternic.
What happens if a claimed domain payment is not completed?
If the winner does not complete payment in a reasonable time, the seller may contact the next highest bidder or relist the domain. Specific terms are handled directly by the seller after the auction.
Privacy & accounts
Do I need an account to bid?
No. You only need a valid email address. Your bid history is tied to that email, which you can access securely from the My Bids page.
Is my email address shared with other bidders?
No. Your email and name are kept private. Visitors only see when bids are placed and when bidding ends. No email addresses, masked or otherwise, are shown anywhere in the app.
How is my information protected?
We use secure server functions, row-level security on the database, and signed access links for the My Bids page. We never store passwords for bidders and do not sell your information.

How are domains added to the site?
Domains are curated and listed by the site owner. New domains are added regularly. Check back often or use the search bar to find names that match your brand or project.
Can I suggest a domain for auction?
